Today’s Reflection
Like a ping-pong ball that goes from one side of the table to the other, our minds constantly bounce between yesterday and tomorrow. As a result, we fail to live wholeheartedly in the present. We need to catch this ball, hold it lightly, and give this moment our full attention. Believing that what is most important is the here and now will encourage us to attempt this.
—Trevor Hudson, The Serenity Prayer: A Simple Prayer to Enrich Your Life (Upper Room Books, 2012)

Prayer for the Week
God of peace, meet us in this moment — in our grief, in our striving, in our questions, and in our quiet hopes. Teach us to live fully and faithfully, trusting that you walk with us through every valley. Help us slow down, open our hearts, and find courage in your unwavering love. Amen.

How well I am able to be fully present, I do not know. . I try, brlieve I have made some progress. I am certainly with Erich in his frustrations. Plans are coming along, some things can’t be rushed. Resources continue to come and enable progress. Thank You, Lord.
I am like the reflection speaks of first. My thoughts are of yesterday and tomorrow. There are times when I am able to live fully in the moment, such as when my kitties are in my lap, purring. I ask God to help me live more fully in each precious moment he gives me.
Kindness is a language the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
