New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

I believe that every follower of Jesus is called to ministry. Our baptism is our common ordination into a life of service in the church and the world. Some, like myself, are called into vocational ministry. Many more are called to follow in the context of living and working fully in and with the world. We must listen for the voice of God amidst our daily lives, paying attention to where God is calling us to go.

—Jorge Acevedo, “Called to Follow,” in Disciplines 2025 (Upper Room Books, 2024)

Today’s Scripture

Not sure about spiritual practices role in my willingness to serve. I sense it is part of who I am, the way God made me, in my DNA.
Another lovely day, off to an appointment soon, need some breakfast before I go. Thank You,l Lord, for the blessings of the day.

My morning routine, as well as my regular appointments with my spiritual director, keep me on a path…seeking Him, His guidance, His direction, discernment. Keeping my ears and eyes open to the environment and people around me.
Grief group last evening – half a dozen hurting ladies who are willing to share and weep with each other. A few have some milestone trigger dates ahead in the next month or so. Very encouraged they keep showing up.
Don had to wear a heart monitor prior to going to Florida. He got the results yesterday – he and Becky are coming home Sunday for further tests next week.
