New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

In this book Trevor gently helps us to step in to the experience of God's invitation to intimate friendship. While grounded in sound theology, this book very simply invites the reader into the lived experience of friendship with the God who longs to encounter us at our places of deepest need—the God who meets us in our loneliness, our places of suffering and fear, and who desires to bless us beyond our wildest imaginings. Trevor helps us to engage with what it means to experience this transforming gift of friendship with God. This book reflects Trevor's own deep relationship with God and is a tremendous gift ot anyone who is seeking that "friendship like no other."
