Today’s Reflection
We don’t have to stretch our imaginations to ask the existential question with Ezekiel: “Will we survive this?” Let these words settle into your bones, “I am about to put breath in you, and you will live again.” Yes, beloved, you will. God is with you.

Today’s Scripture
[This is what the Sovereign Lord says:] “I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.”
—Ezekiel 37:14 (NIV)
Prayer for the Week

Today’s reflection and scripture add to the optimism God has given me that through thick and thin I will endure. Facing an ever tougher situation, resistance is growing, an we shall overcome. Thank You, Lord
Ezekiel’s question is one I ask a lot: “will we survive this?” For me, it is minute to minute at times. I try to hold onto hope and not slip into despair. As God breathed life into dry bones, God will breathe life into us. Lord, help us to rely on Your breath when we can’t breathe on our own. Help us to work for Justice and peace. Help us to put on love and respond to these from a place of love. I have not felt well for a few days and went to urgent care care yesterday. I tested positive for covid and had to wind my way through a bunch of red tape to get Paxlovid. It is no long free and the cost is prohibitive: Over $1000 for a Rx. Fortunately, I qualified for the maker’s assistance program and got it free. God is good. I pray all whocmay need it can get it. Please pray for me to recover quickly and that David will not catch it. An earlier reading from this week discussed times of despair. God brought me to this community when I was in despair over David’s condition when we contracted Covid in March 2020, early in the pandemic. Your support helped us get through. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love to all.
