PRAYER -talking with God, FAITH in Jesus. These keep me going. Pray the Pandemic Prayer.
Being able to pause and pray is an immediate calmer-downer. Tuning into His Presence, always there, if I can just get out of my own head and thoughts. I decided this year I would begin memorizing passages. So – just stopping – and reciting to myself verses – this has been a welcome addition to my arsenal.
Julie – I am glad the meds were an improvement for you, despite some side effects. So often there is that trade-off, but glad your fingers and toes had significant improvement over previous winters. Rick – I am glad you sought medical attention and seem to be bouncing back.
Other than my morning run and an afternoon walk, pretty much housebound – and ok with that. This evening my church has some platform available so that we will be able to meet, via video conferencing, with our small groups. I am not that tech savvy, so hoping it works easily.
Dad wanted some things picked up from the store yesterday – grateful for the father of my god children running that errand for him and dropping off some items.
I read UR Devotional, New Every Morning and lose myself in the beauty of the Sight Psalms. I read the words spoken here, one faithful warrior to another, lifting one another, supporting one another, cheeriing on one another. In short, being friends.
Prayers for Robert to remain safe and healthy during this time.
Prayers for Jill as her new meds continue to work and she stays isolated.
Prayers for Rick, may his health improve and may he stay safe. Are you working as a nurse during this?
Prayers for Andrea and her family, may all be safe, healthy and free of anxiety.
Prayers for April, may her flowers continue to bloom and may her words continue to bloom in our hearts.
Prayers for Lou and her children, quell their fears and concerns, Lord.
Megan goes out daily to walk her best friends’ dogs and she stops at Walmart to check for needed items. Both her friends are still working and she walks their new puppy and plays with their older dogs. I believe this helps greatly with her coping with this situation. May we all llok to the innocence and love of our pets to take us out of our own worries.

Rick, I am praying you recover quickly from your cold virus and that isolation proves to be a time for you to quiet your mind and spirit and refresh your health.
Lowell and I are walking for an hour or so every day. I stayed away from the news and emails the entire morning today. I feel so much more relaxed than on previous days. I am playing the piano, reading, writing, and hope to get back to some fabric projects.
A local wildlife artist has created a set of precious drawings of animals, each with a short message: Stay aware. Support the most vulnerable. Limit exposure. Wash frequently. Spread calm. Check in with each other. Offer healing support. Accept your feelings. Rest.
I believe in the mind-body-spirit connection. We can care for ourselves by tending to all three parts of the whole. For the spirit: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.
