New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

The world needs the gospel of Jesus. The gospel has the power to change not only the human heart but also the world itself. Taking the gospel seriously will help us to be clear about one thing: It is God, not us, who changes the lives of people and transforms the world. As church planters, we must plant, water, and cultivate the gospel in the hearts of women and men, children and adults, rich and poor.

Today’s Scripture

Every scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for showing mistakes, for correcting, and for training character, so that the person who belongs to God can be equipped to do everything that is good.
—2 Timothy 3:16-17 (CEB)

Prayer for the Week

Holy God, thank you for the opportunity to plant a new faith community. Help me to have wisdom and discernment as I develop relationships with the people in this community. Guide me to stay close to you through prayer and Bible study and to love the people who cross my path. Amen.

There are times, when it is appropriate in the conversation, that I will quote scripture. When asked why I am willing to be h’s caregiver, I quote scripture and speak about being judged in heaven as well as answering to my grandparents when I see them again.
Megan is home again today as we have a vet appointment for the “littles.” That is our name for Piddles and Baby Shark as they are two years younger than “the bigs” Taters and Mews. It is just their annual checkup. I am hoping that the vet does not tell me Piddles is overweight as Megan is always saying. I am adament that he is not.

My response today is no different than yesterday’s. Stay ready to give an answer for what I believe. Live out loud, demonstrate love…Christian love…agape love. Be mindful that people are watching. We must make the Gospel attractive to them.
It was enjoyable, being on the court again. But, since I had a 7 week layoff, my game was very rusty. Thus, I was frustrated. Competition was strong. All 5 courts lost. We were actually for most of the first set on my court. My partner is pregnant and fatigues much faster than usual.
Tomorrow evening should be better, as it is the “older” level. No young guns just cracking the ball.
Helping out with prom ticket dispersion this afternoon during 2 of the 3 lunch periods. Prom is this Friday. The end of the school year is rapidly approaching. All of us are ready, it is safe to say.

I do what I can at church, support the Upper Room, try to do what I think is what God wants me to do.
Making progress removing the old dishwasher. Still searching for an installer we are confident can do a good job.
The next issue of The AMBASSADOR is off to the printer. Proofreading done.
This is a very bad tick season so walking has to be done in areas where there is less vegetation.
Even so, it pays to do a careful check.
Busy with “littles” and “bigs” am sure you are entertained. Without God, caring for h would be even tougher. Bless you for what you do.
Hope your time in the court increases as long as you are in good shape. Tennis, at the level you want to play, is demanding. Very glad golf is also an option. Hope all goes well with your pregnant partner.
    Thank You, Lord
