Today’s Reflection
Jesus did not fit the mold for how religious professionals conduct themselves, and neither should we. Being church with your friends creates an affiliation that can build bonds as strong and, in many ways, as satisfying as family. This is how we plant like he did.

Today’s Scripture

Prayer for the Week
God of love,
plant me in the soil of your grace.
Nurture me with the strength of Christ,
the vine of everlasting life.
Enlighten me with the wisdom of your Spirit,
which flows through me today and all days.
Abide in me,
that I may abide in you
and live in your love.
In your holy name, I pray. Amen.

Relationships in the family of God keep me connected. Fellowship is important for where 2 or 3 are gathered in Jesus’ name, Jesus is there too. Have a meeting with our district superintendent Sunday after ZOOM worship. Hopefully there is good news. Meet with church friends today for lunch.
After a few aggravations the old couch, too big to get out of the door in one piece, is gone and the new smaller one is scheduled for delivery on the 13th. Little detail parts, assembled, installed, and painted on the model . The underbody is looking more like the photo. Prayers for all of you who come here. I have to look at previous posts to see how you are doing and pray for your needs. Blessings as we approach the first Sunday after Easter. Thank You, Lord.
This is the closest I have gotten to a warm, welcoming church community since my years at the Episcopalian church as teenager. That is why I am seeking a new church community for in person worship.

He is biding his time until Megan is done with her laundry so he can do his prior to his departure early tomorrow morning for his third vacation in less than a year. Thank God I will be fully vaccinated when he comes back. Megan received her first shot this week and only had arm pain.
