Today’s Reflection
By acknowledging concrete, down-to earth activities—eating, drinking, making decisions, generous sharing, hospitality, and walking—as the means through which God comes to us and by which we participate in God’s work in the world, Christian practices remind us of the sensible, everyday qualities of Christian life. Christian faith involves more than simply believing certain things about God. It is also a matter of practicing our faith.
—Thomas R. Hawkins, Every Step a Prayer: Walking as Spiritual Practice (Upper Room Books, 2016)

An email tells me that my post appeared yesterday. The first one since August 21st. I have posted regularly, but they didn’t appear.
I posted using my phone so will continue that way.
Thanks to Jim, Ally, Julie, and Jill for your concern.
There are many “down to earth” ways I practice my faith, support for others, completing needed tasks, folding clothes, food shopping, bill paying, and walks with family and friends. Thank You, Lord
