WE SEE THAT the liturgy of Holy Communion opens us up to the one who reconciles and heals. It forms us as peacebuilders, ministers of reconciliation. To this table God invites all who “seek to live in peace with one another.” The message is of God’s forgiveness and steadfast love in spite of our failure to love God and neighbor. God invites us to “offer one another signs of reconciliation and love.” (Thomas Porter)

Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Prayer for the Week
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.

I think one way I can demonstrate peacefulness to my students is having an even keel, not getting too high or too low. It is important to always reflect respectfulness and consistency, and for my students to know my classroom is a safe space…physical safety, as well as a safe place to take risks in learning.
Grateful for lunch with a friend from my first small group at my church. She is now a facilitator in a different group, but our bond remains. She was extremely welcoming to me that first year and was such a consistent supporter and pray-er through the difficult times with mom.
Peacemaking versus peacekeeping: https:/
Heaven knows peacemaking (Yes Joe, not peacekeeping) is what we are to do. I’m very unsure of my peacemaking capability. It is something I need a guidance and practice. Prayerfully I’ll seek help. Have an opportunity to get some help coming up. My recent efforts in Boston did not result in success. That was very disappointing.
Positively, my taxes are getting done and the model train part is getting closer. Have heard from the family of my very long time friend in Korea as well as former students.
Prayers for Mikie who has heart surgery today, Meesook recovering (I hope) from surgery and pain, Julie’s hands and foot, her safety, and daughter Megan, Mary on a mission trip to Indonesia, and Marcy’s health, support, and well being. Our pastor is on vacation, we have guest pastors for the next two Sundays.
Face Timed with my daughter and granddaughters. Erich has made great porridge and Korean dumpling soup. He’s working on his business, has product he hopes to sell on the way, lots of research into marketplaces and procedures.
Thank You, Lord, for the blessings of the day.
I have spent my life being the peacemaker/keeper. Growing up, first marriage, second marriage and with Megan. I continue to keep the peace with my mother and extended family in Williamsport. It can be exhausting and keeps real communication and bonding from being possible. I understand that they want us to say we should live peacefully with others, but I believe this is unrealistic and inhibits true connection.
Prayers for Jill and her students as she models a safe haven for all. This is being a steadfast adult in a sea of tennage issues
Prayers for Rbert and Erich, may Robert find appropriate counselling services close to hme.
Prayers for Andrea’s health, April and her family, BJ and her mom, Connie’s health, Edy and her son, Lou’s emotional health, Mary’s mission trip, Marcy’s physical and financial health, and Rick’s success with his school work.
Plans to visit the driver’s license center for Megan and I to renew our licenses with the new federal ids. Hope the wait is short.
Prayers and thank you UR
