New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

We are invited to turn to God—to turn ourselves over to God—and to see what happens. The rain will fall, and it will go into the earth. The earth will produce bounty. Trees will grow where there were thorns, myrtle where there had been briars. We may feel lost at times. We may find ourselves in exile. Still we can trust God; nothing is wasted.

The thing I continually have to return to Him is my relationship with my sister, and my very poor attitude regarding it. I am trying to hold loosely my relationship with my dad – and any fear I have regarding how difficult it will be when I lose him. I am trying to not take for granted the time we have to spend together, the conversations we have. I am so appreciative of how honest he is with me. One year ago today we had a reunion in Las Vegas with his cousins. We got the call last night that his cousin’s wife passed. Dad reiterated how glad he was that we took that trip. His cousin is the one with so many health concerns and a year ago dad wanted to go see him. His wife was diagnosed with stomach cancer at the end of last summer. I said to dad last night, who would have guessed Mary would have passed before Al.
Father, in Your great mercy, we know You hear our prayers. I lift to you Julie and Megan and their living situation. Thank You for the safety You have provided thus far, from h, as well as the virus. I lift, also, Marcy. May she get the necessary medical attention warranted. Thank You for Roxy – her assistance and care. I also place David and Ally before You. Such strides, some quicker than others, for David. Give them each strength for the day and a deep trust in how You will provide.
Father – this nation of ours – how we need to turn to You. May each person do his/her own part it respecting the other, standing for what is right, listening well, and protecting all. O Father, help us.

I tend to doubt my own abilities and experience anxiety about upcoming tasks. I need to remember that Jesus is always with me and that I can do all things through him. I am not alone.

I need to turn my life currently, with h and Chai’s continued illness, over to the Lord. I need to accept that He has this situation in his hands and that only his will may prevail. My will is irrelevant.
Prayers for Jill and Becky, may Jill’s heart soften. I do not know the reasons for the divide, perhaps this current relationship is best for Jill.
Prayers for Marcy, may she be in the hospital receiving treatment and may Roxy return as her helper when she is released.
Prayers for Ally and David, for David’s relapse, for future travel and for Ally’s emotional fortitude.
I echo Jill’s prayers for our hurting and broken country. I add, Father God, if it is your will, and I pray it is, please provide us with a lesder this November who may heal our country and its people. May this person bring unity.
Chai still not eating. Megan forces it on him. We know it is vital for cats to eat. Their kidneys shut down quickly without food, as few as 2 days without food can be lethal. I humbly ask for your prayers, I know you all realize and understand how we feel as you love your pets as ferociously as we ours. Tazzie is on my lap as he continues to need reassurance, constantly.
Prayers and thank you and safe health dear UR

So much every day to turn over to God – my all, my everything – knowing rhat I cannot do it with out God first in my life. Prayers especially today for my oldest daughter who was here this week- a joy to see her as she now continues her travels from moving from the east coast to the west coast. I pray for her as she follows her heart- I pray for her saftey during this time of pandemic and riots as she crosses this country alone. May God be with her on this trip and always in her life. I pray for my son as he is also moving this week and interviewing for a new position at his work- I pray for his confidence and courage and for God to walk closely beside him guiding him in what is right. I pray for my youngest who has a hard time sharing the attention and is difficult with me at times. She also has the hugest heart which I know causes the difficulties. She came and found me and gave me a big hug this morning after her sister left because she knew I would greatly need that hug.
I pray for two dear friends who lost their parents to covid this week. I pray for all here to be healthy- prayers for Jill and her family relationships – for Gail, you are indeed not alone!
I pray for Julie and her living situation and her pets. And I pray for all of those here at the UR- for Robert, Andrea, Marcy, BJ, Connie, Ally, Rick, and all of those who come here needing to be reminded that God is near.
Prayers for our world – prayers for Peace.

Good morning, UR family. David went to ER yesterday and probably has congestive heart failure. Common after effect of COVID. He’s doing ok. Feeling much better there are great meds to treat CGF. Am hopeful and believing for full recovery. Busy day ahead. My sister is coming from Alabama. So thankful for my family. Know I’m lifting all of you up to the Lord, who in His mercy, hears our prayers. Blessings to all!
