New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

A breast cancer survivor told me her hair started falling out shortly after beginning chemotherapy. She had her head shaved after that and scattered the clippings in her yard. Later she found birds gathering bits to weave in their nests. With that image she passed along tender courage of how all things work together for good in God’s mysterious ways. I am reminded that beauty is found in every age and stage.

Yesterday I talked to my mom regarding her memories of the past, specifically the timeframe that is involved in the contention that is the reason for the depositions. The recollections were painful to hear but will help my case immensely. Megan also shared some recollections that left me aching but will help. After this over I think we should address these in therapy.
Quick missive today as I prepare to see my lawyer today and the deposition on Thursday. Next comment won’t be until Saturday. But my prayers continue for each of you and your needs and joys.

During the lowest points of my life, God has made me aware of His presence and I felt His comfort. He placed people in my path who prayed, encouraged me, and He gave me the grace to do things I needed to do. He worked things out when e everything seemed tied up in impossible knots. God is on time.
David is progressing in rehab. His therapists are working with him to build core strength. They discovered that his left knee sometimes buckles when he walks and may be a factor in his falls. He has a tentative discharge date of 3/13. Our kitties miss him and so do I. Please continue to pray for progress and healing. I’ve had this ongoing infected tooth and had a reaction to the antibiotic: dizziness, nausea, etc I’m much better but covet your prayers for this tooth. I need to see an oral surgeon but not sure when that will be. Also, please pray for my about to be14 year old Lewis Kitty. He has a chronic respiratory thing and is going to vet tomorrow, as he has decreased appetite and lots of sneeziness and some congestion with possible tooth issue. My boy is so special. He brings love and joy to all who meet him. He is the sweetest critter on the planet. Julie, know I will be praying for you as you meet with the lawyer. My prayers will be with you as you face the deposition. I pray you feel the Lord’s presence and His strength as you deal with painful memories. Praying all are well in our UR family. Blessings to all.

God’s mysterious ways are what some people would call coincidences. The Master Creator – weaves things together beautifully, intricately – often we realize it much later on.
Father – please be very near Julie as these next days are crucial for her future. Provide her the ability to think clearly, to control emotions and to prioritize as needed.
Father – also, for Ally, David and Lewis Kitty. Thank You for the therapy David is receiving. May his strength, mobility and stability increase. May the situation with Ally’s tooth not escalate and may she be able to see an oral surgeon soon. And for Lewis – may the vet be able to properly diagnose and put a treatment plan in place.
Beautiful sunshine here – a long walk when I got out of class. The sun feels warm, so warm – but the wind reminds me it is early March. Still, being able to walk without gloves on, this time of year, is a gift. Small group study this evening – have missed the last two weeks due to basketball games. It will be good to be back in the fold.
My god daughter’s team bowed out last night. A long, tumultuous season has ended.

I echo the prayers offered for each of our UR Family members. I know God is near to each and I pray each will feel His calm hand guiding you with every breath you take and step you take….He is faithful.
A beautiful day here with a long walk to soak up the sunshine too. It is so amazing how the sun/Son can bring joy.
I attended a Celebration of Life service online yesterday. A time to celebrate with and mourn one of God’s beloved child. Each day is a gift, may I pause to remember this and live the life God is directing me to.
    Blessings to all.
