New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Everything that is, including we ourselves, is held forever in God’s love, in God’s grace and mystery. Mama is in it, as am I. Grief is real and also held in God’s mystery. Yet love is the greatest mystery in our amazing universe. It is given to us as a way to participate in life. It is the root and cause and completion of all things in God.

Today’s Question

How can you embrace the mystery of God’s love today? Join the conversation.

Today’s Scripture

Without question, the mystery of godliness is great: he was revealed as a human, declared righteous by the Spirit, seen by angels, preached throughout the nations, believed in around the world, and taken up in glory.
—1 Timothy 3:16 (CEB)

Something More

Embracing the mystery of God’s love has a component of intentional trusting that He is working ALL things together for His good. Trusting that faithful obedience is working together with Him for His Kingdom come. When disappointment hits – cling more than ever to hope. Wallow minimally and rise to shine again for Him.
Rain heading in very soon here – could smell it in the air when I took some trash out this morning. Was hoping to get my run in before it hit, but won’t be able to. Grateful to get all the leaves which have fallen thus far – out to the curb as the leaf clean up crew came through mid afternoon yesterday. Glad the leaves are off the median and the street as there is a lot of rain coming today.
Did all the paperwork for purchase of a car yesterday. Will pick it up Thursday after school, on the way to the airport to get my family coming home for the holidays. A busy week ahead. Nothing tomorrow after school – but the remainder of the week has something every evening. Each one a good thing in and of itself – but looks intense right now. Will take advantage of today and tomorrow evening.
Sunday blessings to those who stop by here.

Love made the apples we used for ALL THINGS APPLE available to us in much the same as as Boaz made grain available to Ruth and fellow gleaners. With cooperative effort our event raised $476 as of today and we still have items that can be sold. We are very grateful for this addition to the general fund. Thank You, Lord.
Great news on the purchase of a car, Jill. Thankful, that our car is in very good shape and ready for winter.
Reminders of days long past came unexpectedly today. Thankful for those as well.
Veterans Day tomorrow, will attend an event with a 91 year old veteran.
Thank You, Lord for the blessings of the day.
