New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

We are often quick to discard the past, choosing instead to look forward. But the psalmist reminds us that when we remember where we’ve been, we see signs of where God has delivered us in times of despair. When we see God’s salvation at work, we are moved to worship. Our mouths are filled with praise!

Today’s Scripture

I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.

Prayer for the Week

God, give us the gift of imagination to see a world where pain and suffering are no more, that we might walk on your path of peace-making and justice. Amen. [prayer from Draw Close by Stephanie B. Dunn]

Just now! My kitten jumped from the second floor to the first without injury. I have an open, two story foyer and there is a railing along the hallway. I have sheets of rigid plastic covering the openings between the railing spindles but he can squeeze between the last piece and the wall. Thank you Lord for protecting my baby!

Every time it seems that I’m on my last leg, God has a solution to my problem. He provides a way when I can’t even begin to see a way out of a situation. He’s truly an amazing, awesome God.

It’s always good news when cats survive longer than expected or wanted jumps/ Yes, thank You,
Lord. There have been several very memorable situations where tough circumstances were helped by God. they kept me going. Yesterday was quite a day when a new path forward came into view.
VT seems to offer opportunities that are closer and less expensive. More needs to be researched, but there’s a new sense of possibility. Thank You, Lord.
