New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

God is near to us, loves us, and awakens our love for God. Today I give thanks for God’s call and assignment to duty. I have been led to great challenge and diversity, but always I have been sustained. God never fails or disappoints and is always faithful, even when I foolishly forget my call and my constant companion.

God gets me through every day. Some days are easier than others, some days are mixed, and some days are tough all day long, but faith keeps me going. The last hours of the strawberry shortcake event were tough. One person did it all, then had help bringing the equipment back to church. God was certainly with Jennifer handling customers and Etienne helping Jennifer load up and return to church.
Thankful for yesterday’s prayer service at church. There were three visitors who found their names in the visitor’s book in previous years. 15 people on all and wonderful fellowship after the meeting. A new experience, different seating, a service directed by a bulletin. Thank You, Lord.

Yes indeed, God gets me through each day. Each morning I ask for his help and each evening I thank him for getting me through that day. Life is difficult alone.
I spent yesterday in church, running errands and walking at the Botanical Garden. I NEED that day to myself. I have joined a website for those dealing with Parkinson’s and part of the site is for the members to tell their story and interact with one another. They are very compassionate and helpful. Many of those who post are caregivers and they have given me advice.
Prayers for Ally and David, for David’s release from rehab and Ally’s disability approval to both happen expeditiously. Prayers for Jill and Roger, may Jill’s friends find time to spend wth her and may Roger eat the yummy treats Jill has prepared for him. Prayers for Robert and his church, prayers of thankfulness that the new type of church service was well received.
