Today’s Reflection
Back in the city the group members realized how our contemporary psalms could encompass our encounters in corporate life, with dishonest landlords, street people, traffic, and national/political life. Our psalms could help us mourn the death of a friend from AIDS, pray for the bad-tempered bus driver, rage at an unfair job loss, express our fears, and call on God to redress the oppression of those who suffer.

Today’s Scripture
You are my God, and I will give thanks to you;
you are my God; I will extol you.
O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever.

Prayer for the Week
Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.

I have not felt the nudge to express my grief in writing beyond the eulogy I wrote and gave at my wife’s passing. I will be 26 years this November. I have many precious memories, photos , and momentos. Korea, Korean food, and culture are still part of my life. Thank You, Lord.
I have on the occasion I have felt something deeply, written a song. I sometimes journal to express and organize my feelings. Both can be therapeutic, but I don’t do them often.
Robert, thinking of you today as you remember your dear wife and your life together.
