Today’s Reflection
Our connection with God, ourselves, and others gives our life meaning. God created us for connection, and Jesus tells us the greatest commandment is to love God with our whole being and to love our neighbors as (and) ourselves.

Today’s Scripture
Love should always make us tell the truth. Then we will grow in every way and be more like Christ, the head of the body. Christ holds it together and makes all of its parts work perfectly, as it grows and becomes strong because of love.
—Ephesians 4:15-16 (CEV)
Prayer for the Week
God of light, help me to speak my truth. Show me how to be still so that I may hear your gentle whisper. In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who has the power to heal me. Amen.

God knows my truth. I can tell my truth to God. Communication with those, who do not believe in the truth that there is a God, is more difficult. I will say that some progress is being made. Thank You, Lord.
Speaking my truth to God allows me to be humbled, and to step into His peace. He is welcoming and there is stillness. Speaking my truth to others opens a door to authentic relating and sacred space. This is not done easily by me. I hold back, stay safe, retreat into my introversion. But, when it does happen – I have seen and experienced deep beauty. I believe it is rare and will relish in when it happens.
Yesterday, well, the entire week, was so full. A wonderful ending to it yesterday – riding with my friend to her son’s football game an hour away. A quiet dinner in a little hole in the wall Italian restaurant – simple meal of meatballs, sauce and calamari. And – what a conversation we had on the way home. Then, I picked up my friend Montana – in for her month visit with her dad. So good to just embrace her and talk on the way to her dad’s house.
Tennis today and then relaxing and schoolwork. Tomorrow is very busy, with all very good things.
