New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

But we all are called to serve God faithfully in some way because we are God’s beloved. We find our call to live out our belovedness by being still. In the stillness, we experience true connection with God and begin to recognize who God created us to be. We get in touch with our specific gifts and talents and passions. We draw on our belovedness, and from that place, we serve.

Prayer for the Week

God of love, who invites me to this journey with your Beloved Son, open my heart to accept your invitation. Hear my concerns about this journey. Help me to learn the way of the beloved. Let me know I am beloved. In the name of Jesus, who reveals the way to your heart. Amen.

Prayer, bible reading, reading devotionals and NEM. Even posting here connects me to the Lord.
One more step to the new windows completed. The man who took the measurements to be used for manufacture of the windows just left. I am excited and looking forward to opening the windows which is impossible now.
Prayers for Ally’s job hunting anxiety and David’s biopsy anxiety. Both are understandable and may God hold them through the biopsy and job hunting and interviews. Prayers for Jill as she works with the twin students, may all be patient and may the twins have increased understanding of the concepts. Prayers for Robert’s safe travel, house hunting and move. Prayers for all who read and don’t comment.

Extended times of silence and quiet reflection on the Word and in prayer. I am so looking forward to 10 consecutive days of this, come Friday. A foretaste of summer mornings.
Julie – I am glad you have found some resources enabling you to progress towards living into your belovedness. This is so much what God wants for you. May this proper diagnosis for your pain lead towards complete healing and relief.
Thank you for your encouragement as I move forward with the twins. Today we had an assessment – so neither were in for assistance during the lunch periods. A nice respite.
Was going to attend my god son’s baseball game today. But I got a text from his mom saying he got sick at school and is home. He was supposed to start at pitcher for the varsity tomorrow – at a school near my house. I doubt he will be able to play – will have to wait and see.
Becky and I have interesting conversations regarding the myriad of adjustments taking place in that household of 3. Becky and I are spending the day together Friday, shopping and grabbing lunch. It is so pleasant to be looking forward to this. It has been a year since things took a significant turn. It was during spring break last year. So grateful.
Ally – praying for good results from David’s biopsy and for confidence for you in the steps which lie ahead.
Robert – glad for a good, safe trip for you. May your next trip yield good opportunities for your move.
