New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Jesus calls us to gratitude. He calls us to recognize that gladness and sadness are never separate, that joy and sorrow really belong together, and that mourning and dancing are part of the same movement. That is why Jesus calls us to be grateful for every moment that we have lived and to claim our unique journey as God’s way to mold our hearts to greater conformity with God’s own. The cross is the main symbol of our faith, and it invites us to find hope where we see pain and to reaffirm the resurrection where we see death. The call to be grateful is a call to trust that every moment of our life can be claimed as the way of the cross that leads us to new life.

Frequently! There is so much to be thankful for. I wouldn’t exist without God. Food, shelter, clothing, and everything are all in one way or another from God. Thank You, Lord.
Recently received photos, some never seen before, of my wife, her and our family, have been a great blessing. Love never dies.
After a drizzly rainy day yesterday, no precipitation this morning. Hopeful that we just might be able to snowshoe. Hope the snow is not rock hard and snowshoes do what they are intended to do.
It’s a special weekend, we celebrate Martin Luther King. Thankful for the progress he helped us make, hopeful that more can be, will be accomplished. We have a ways to go to bring God’s kingdom to earth. Continued prayers for the NEM family, named and unnamed, new and long time. The Lord bless you and keep you now and always. Thank You, Lord.

Yes, but not as often as I should. I know I am blessed and that all things from come God, but I need to express what is in my heart more.
Tomorrow is a day spent with Megan and free, mostly, of h. These days are very much needed. Caring for h is difficult. He has no interests or hobbies and refuses to entertain any suggestions. Therefore he spends his day literally sitting or standing and staring into space or out windows. His hallucinations continue and he looks to me for things to do but he rebuffs any suggestions.

Whatever I manage to do or I’m reminded of things I thank God. It’s true I can do “nothing” without Him!

I try each day. Doesn’t always happen. on days I feel the most burdened, that is when it’s hardest. being intentional about being grateful to God can change a person’s heart. I’m grateful for my husband, family, friends, my home, my church family. Most of all, I’m thankful for God’s grace. Where would we be without that?
