Today’s Reflection
JESUS COMES to each one of us through his Spirit, walks alongside us, and desires to enter into conversation with us. He wants to know about the dark thoughts and feelings in our hearts. He opens our minds to words of scripture so that they speak directly and personally to our situations. He makes himself known to us as bread is broken and wine is poured. In moments like these, our hearts also begin to burn again with new faith and hope and love.

That I’ll have the needed condo closing cost funds is certainly welcome news.
To the best of my understanding, knowledge, experience I haven’t felt a “burning” as described here. I do think that I felt, experienced God’s presence, touch ( find it hard to put it exactly into words) two times in my life and believe that there are events in my life where God made all the difference. I think it quite possible that they will also happen in the future. Spiritual faith, trust, belief depend on many things we can’t easily define or describe but know to be real.
Had a wonderful time with my sister yesterday, great weather, I may have a mild sunburn, a nice lunch, a good visit, and plans for the future.
I need to see posts from the last few days to know what is happening. Being the first to post means I miss the fellowship. Thankful that is all possible.
God’s blessing to all of you. Thank You, Lord.
Glad to hear your news, Robert. Praying that the condo closing becomes a reality, and you get to move soon.
Sacred music can still bring a stirring in my soul, maybe not a burning, but certainly give me renewed hope and comfort. I thank God for that feeling.
Continued prayers for Jill and her dad as they relax and heal at the beach this week. Blessings to all this Friday.
Yes, I feel God with me through my dealings with h. He is home today and as the realization hit me as I lay in bed the terror built. But the light comes and my Bible assures God is with me strengthening and guiding me.
Prayers for Andrea and her friends in Srii Lanka.

Prayers for Connie, may God burn in her.
Prayers for Jill and Larry, may they be safe and healing together.
Prayers for Mary, may she have a relaxing weekend.
Prayers for Marcy, may she be well.
Prayers for Robert. Prayers of rejoicing for the resolution of the closing cost issue. May God continue to make straight his path to his new home.
Prayers and blessings and warm hugs dear UR family.
When my mom was hospitalized, a few women including my mum’s sister in law came and sang for my mum her favorite hymn and prayed for her in Foochow.
Then during my mum’s funeral wake, the support from Foochow Methodist Church, the pastors, community and church leaders and the Mandarin choir’s impromptu presentation are moments that cause my heart to burn again with new faith, hope and love.
Thank you God for surrounding us with your comforting love and presence.
I am eternally grateful for all that God is doing through His people.
Blessings to all and thank you for all your prayers!
Mary, it is good to read about the support you received from the Foochow Methodist Church. May God continue to bless you and your father as your grieve.
Thanks Andrea!
May God bless you and your family abundantly!
Have a great weekend!
Oh yes, the senior pastor and church leaders from Living Sanctuary church also visited us at my mum’s funeral wake
Thank you for your prayers!
Robert, I am thankful to hear things are falling into place and moving forward for the move you and Erich are making.
This reading is especially helpful. My dark thoughts involve mostly a high degree of silent self-criticism as well as silent criticism of others. I am thankful Jesus wants to know about those feelings and I will turn them over in prayer.
Prayers for all UR friends. God bless all who visit UR today.
The “Anonymous” post is mine – I did not mean to post it anonymously. Wishing all a blessed day and blessed weekend.
A simple personal prayer was answered and I knew it was a gift from God on my birthday.
He lights a fire in my soul.
Weekend blessings to all. I will try to participate more actively soon.
My worries over getting my granddaughters with me thru this situation was a big worry. Knowing they really know the people they were with. I’ve had them now since February 1st. I know they are doing alot better with me. Their 4 and 5 years old and have been thru alot. I just love seeing them smile and coming running with arms wide open when they’ve been at school all day.
I will keep you and your granddaughters in my prayers, Sherry. God bless you.
