Today’s Reflection
DESPITE CONSTANT TALK of the value of peace, we find very little in this world. Both our public and personal lives reflect our tragic lack of peace—spiraling cycles of violence, unhealthy addictions, and destructive tensions that divide families, communities, and countries. We are far better at loving the idea of peace than at making peace within the realities of our lives.

I strive to meet a person where they are; show acceptance and tolerance in my interactions. It’s not always easy, but it is what God wishes for us.
I’m visiting the new grand baby this weekend, so my worship today will be my quiet time this morning. Prayong for health and happiness for this little man who I’m getting to snuggle and love on.
Blessings to those who come and stop here for awhile. Hoping for peace I all our interactions.
I try to empathize with others and listen to their point of view. I listen, that is the best way I have found to keep the peace. I also admit when I am wrong and try to revise my actions when they have affronted another.
Prayers for safe travel for Betsy and may she enjoy this precious time with her grandson. May Harrison remain healthy and grow well.
Prayers for Marcy, may her pain be less today.
Prayers for Robert, may his computer issues be resolved soon.
Prayers for Connie, may her skies be blue and may the sun shine into her weary soul.
Prayers for Mary and her family, may she have a joy filled sabbath.
Prayers for Lou and her family, may all be doing well.
Prayers for Andrea and her family, may she and Lowell be healed soon.
Prayers for Edy and Bill, and successful surgery soon.
Prayers for Jill and her family, may she impart her peace filled strength to them.
Thank you for your prayers. My toes are prticularly bad this year. Some of my fingers are actually healing though. Praise the power of prayer!
Prayers and blessings and warm hugs dear UR family. We will have falling temps and very high winds!
May Betsy have a safe trip to visit her grandson. May she have an enjoyable time with the family.
Praise God Julie’ fingers are heading. May her toes also have a speedy recovery.
Thank you Julie for all your prayers.
May the peace of God be with each and every one here!
I meant healing
“There will be peace in the Valley some day”……Oh, Lord I pray.
I try to be a peacemaker, but I have “opinions”! I will try harder to keep harshness out of my voice, love in my heart, and no casual judging. Who am I to judge?
Bless little Harrison.
Bless Julie from “head to toe”.
Bless Jill and her family.

Apart from the distressing politics of our nation, I find I have more peace and forgiveness in my heart now and I am grateful. When I detect old resentments rearing up, I work to return to God’s peace – a prayer, a walk, music, handwork. Oddly, it is my husband, whom I love dearly, who I occasionally snap at. May God help me temper my tongue with that sweet man.
May God bring peace to our national discourse.
I pray for guidance for Robert and Erich, for effective pain relief for Anneliese, for healing and resolution for Julie, for forbearance and strength for Jill, Larry, and Becky, for eased physical and emotional pain for Gloria, for Betsy in her blessed role as grandmother and for little Harrison to be healthy, for all of Marcy’s needs to be met, for Connie’s soul to be uplifted and for her husband, for Mary’s health and for her devoted care to her parents, for April and her family, and for those for whom you all pray. I pray for all visitors to UR, may God bless you.
Thank you Andrea for all your prayers.
May God bless you and your family abundantly!
Have a great week ahead everyone!
I too pray for the UMC conference this weekend, Robert. May God’s wisdom be with all those gathered together and the work that is being done. In Christ.
