Today’s Reflection
WE WANT to follow you, Lord, but we confess that we do not always live into your glorious resurrection. Interrupt our plans and increase in our hearts. In Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.

I often think about my perception of surrender and God’s take on it. I think I am fully surrendering to Him and wonder how He sees it…30%, 40%? Does He chuckle in His love for me and just pours out more grace? Does He say – oh Jill – we have miles and miles to go. Or would it be light years and light years? And, yet – His mercies never end. He meets me right where I am and renews me. I am humbled and again mutter – What have I done to deserve love like this? Thank You, Father.
A moving memorial service yesterday. Many thoughts while sitting there in the pew. I find myself thinking (often? – a relative term) about what my mom’s memorial service will be like. Not sure it is a healthy thought – but my mind goes there, nevertheless. May God continue to sustain my father’s health through all of this. My sister arrived back in town yesterday – there is comfort to know she is here to help support. We will all be together today.
Yes, Lord, we fall short, again and again. Bombings and an attack on a house or worship, among other bad events, testify to our shortcomings. Lord, we surely need You.
I live in the Pittsburgh area.
Please pray for the Jewish community, police officers, first responders and those injured. So much hate.
There is so much hate in this world. It is disheartening. Places of worship no longer safe? That is not right.
Thankful for:
People who do not discriminate – there are so many reasons that evil people can find.
All our Saints in Heaven.
A burst of color when the sun came out for a few seconds…rust, yellow, etc.
Beautiful.
Thoughts of love for Gloria.
Praying for the Jewish community. May the peace of God be with them!
Blessings and have a good week ahead!
