New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

I HAVE LEARNED that if I will pay attention from the very beginning of the day, there will be reminder after reminder that this day — as all days do, of course, even the days each week that are given over to work and to school and to travel and all the rest — that this day of all days each week belongs to the One Who made us, the One Who sustains us, the One Who has chosen, inexplicably it seems to me sometimes, to bless us with life in this new day.

Read yesterday’s reflection, but was off on a trip early and there was no time to post or read other’s posts. Now I’ve read them, thankful for the prayers for me and Erich, we had a good day. The scenery was awesome, still colored leaves here and there, snow on the mountain tops, Kancamagus Pass and Crawford Notch, low clouds in northern VT. Wonderfiul lunch and supper and I enjoyed the baseball game.

Yes, God provides what we need and we should always be thankful for what we have. Recent events have been a great help and will enable some building.
Most definitely saw God’s work in the beauty of nature yesterday.

Prayers for Marcy, Rusty and K, all UR posters and readers, especially ones from whom we haven’t heard from.

Prayers for Jill, her ability to play tennis, her Mom and Dad, and classes at school. May Julie and her daughter find jobs and may Julie find peace in a new and positive setting. Thankful Mary is doing well with her new job and hope her cooking classes go well. Great to hear from Lou, yes some memories are tough to deal with, but there’s a lot of good news on how you and the children have adapted, adjusted. Prayers for a healthy baby for Betsy’s daughter Kelsey and continued ministry. Andrea, her daughter, Lowell, and a grandson are in my prayers. Blessings to Pam, Edy and Joan. Hope Connie;s soup turned out well, thankful for her close to nature activities.

A less busy day, thankful for a lot of recent progress. I feel as though I am on a new path, have to adjust, rethink, seek guidance on how to proceed.

Prayers for expectant parents. Thank You, Lord.

Yes, may Macy, Rusty, K and all be well.

In all our days, may God be glorified!

Yes, He gifts us with a new day, a fresh start and a plethora of opportunities in the hours ahead. Yes, He has chosen each one of us and He knows our names. Father – I will think on this today.
And what has happened already today that is special and not a coincidence? I got out of the house earlier than usual and decided to treat myself to a coffee from a local coffee shop. Behind me in line was a student who graduated over 10 years ago. She recognized me and said something. We had a few minutes to catch up. She is a civil engineer here locally. Not surprising, she was very bright. She said – you probably don’t remember me. But as soon as she said her name – I did remember her and I said – you played soccer, right? And she had. It brought a smile to my face as I walked out of the shop and thanked God that our paths crossed for that moment.
Robert – I remember hiking in the Crawford Notch area with my sister five summers ago. I would love to see it in autumn colors – it must be amazing.
Grateful that my fire bush is blasting red color in the corner by my front porch. It looks radiant against my white house.
This is the day that the Lord has made – let’s rejoice and praise Him.

Yes, God grants each of us the miracle of a new day. He just asks us to use it to further His kingdom on earth in our small corner of the world. “His blessings are new each morning.” What will we do with them? We need to be ever mindful that He has blessed us with talents, gifts, and this day and we need to use them as the gifts of our Lord deserve.
Prayers for Robert and Erich. Prayers for their warm and supportive relationship and the progress they are making towards a move.
Prayers for Mary and her wonderful curiosity and willingness to trynew things.
Prayers for Jill and her former student. Prayers of thanks for those teachers who touched us and helped shape our adult selfs.
Prayers for Lou and her children. Prayers for their warm and supportive relationships.
Prayers for Andrea and her family. Prayers for their struggles to maintain warm relationships.
Prayers for Connie and her husband and their warm and supportive relationship. Prayers for all the nature that graces their lives and enriches their spiritual lives.
Prayers for Betsy and her family. May they all enjoy welcoming a new child to their family and helping to raise them in Christ and be examples of His love.
Thank you for your prayers. I am feeling discouraged regarding my chances at a job. Despite two master’s degrees, all I fear they see is my age and my lack of work for so long.
The cold air finds the kitties cuddled together on their warm blanket. Chai continues to monitor the freezer each morning. He even yelled at me one morning when I did not open it for him. I promptly did as he wished.
Prayers for Marcy and all those we do not hear from.
Prayers for all of the loving and supportive members of the UR family. God bless you and keep you in His care

Yes, each day is a gift from God. He is with us and our names are written on the palms of His hand.
    Thankful for:
A soft pillow, a warm blanket, a cozy home.
    Soup’s On! Very tasty.
    Robert’s sharing of scenery.
A place close by for flu shots.
I used to have fire bushes in my children’s and my home. So pretty.

Thank you Mary and Connie for your comments and love shared from yesterday- Connie- yes, alive and well and that is a blessing indeed. Anniversaries and memories will likely always be hard for me- I have a very very good memory for events in my life. God is with me when I go back and read the posts from yesterday and the supportive comments and when I read the comments today- thankful for you all. Prayers for Robert and the transition you face – for Jill and all of the lives you have touched in your important role as a teacher-prayers for Julie and your faithful posting – I pray for your transition as well- I know it is not easy but living a life with someone who doesn’t love you is not easy either. Thankful that you have your daughter and your furry friends to love you and all of us here who pray for you. Prayers for Mary as she has transitioned to a new job- your positivity and spirit always amaze me.
Prayers for Betsy, Sara, Louise, Paige and April, Andrea, Marcy, and all
Of those who come here yearning for Hid peace.
God was with me as I had coffee with a faithful friend today- sharing God’s love and my life with a fellow believer fills me up and warms me more than the coffee ever could.
His eye is on the sparrow – I am holding on to that this week.
He loves us – oh how he loves us.
