The Rev. Dr. Robert Duff Webster (1936–2015) was professor of New Testament at Lancaster Theological Seminary from 1973–1999 and taught religion at Bradley University from 1968–1973. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma, Perkins School of Theology with a Bachelor of Divinity, Yale Divinity School with a Master of Sacred Theology, and he received his PhD at Yale University. Webber was ordained in the United Church of Christ. An active volunteer in the Lancaster community, Webber was a board member of The Parish Resource Center and a founding member of Lancaster Interchurch Peace Witness. He traveled extensively through the Middle East and South Africa as part of his lifelong passion for peace and social justice. Webber coauthored with Tilda Norberg Stretch Out Your Hand: Exploring Healing Prayer, published by Upper Room Books in 1999.
