New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

I made a commitment to a quiet place with God over 25 years ago and have kept that commitment to this day. Thank You, Lord for enabling me and being ever present.

Turn off the radio and TV and sit with the Lord, listening for his voice.

I am fortunate to be able to have peace and quiet in my home whenever needed. I was speaking with one of my classes yesterday – and they were asking about what I had going on this weekend. I told them that tonight (last night) I hoped to be in my pajamas by 4:00 watching The Masters. After a busy week – it is a gift to have an unscheduled Friday evening to go home and just do nothing.
I had tennis this morning and am in repeat mode. In my pajamas, Sloppy Joes simmering, watching The Masters. I do need to do some school work – but a nice slow evening.
Dad and Don arrive home tomorrow on a plane. Becky left a few days ago, is visiting a friend in Charlotte and will be home Monday. The plan is to pick up “the boys” tomorrow afternoon, have some groceries for them, as well as Chinese take out – and head to their house to watch The Masters.
