Today’s Reflection
Because God has shown up for us time and time again, it is only right that we show up for others. If we aren’t careful, we can get caught up in receiving from God, thanking God, and letting it end there. But the true way to honor what God has done in our lives is to make the way easier for somebody else. We honor what God has done for us by helping others.

Today’s Scripture
We commend ourselves as ministers of God in every way. We did this with our great endurance through problems, disasters, and stressful situations.
—2 Corinthians 6:4 (CEB)
Prayer for the Week
God, give me the boldness to stand up to oppression, trouble, and affliction. I ask that you strengthen me for those battles: show me my past wins, reveal to me my best tools, remind me who and what I am fighting for, and protect me along the way. Amen. Something More
Psalms for Black Lives, written by pastors Gabby Cudjoe-Wilkes and Andrew Wilkes, is a collection of thirty devotions, each containing a psalm, a reflection, and an invitation for the reader to develop a justice imagination. It is the perfect resource to add to your bookshelf as we celebrate the Juneteenth holiday this week. May we join with God and with each other in the holy work of pursuing justice, undoing structural racism, and building a society that truly values Black lives. Learn more here.

I do try to make the way easier in helping my family and friends – I may not be perfect but I do try as I am able-
Friends here make the way easier with their sharing- I especially like how Robert always ends with a Thank you to the Lord – always a good reminder to me – to be thankful even when the road is not easy. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rains expected late tonight – I have a basement that has flooded multiple times so I am never happy about overnight storms – somehow being able to keep watch during the daytime is better – I have to trust that all will be well.
Prayers for all of you-
I miss hearing from Rusty but imagine he is caring for his family- summer is a busy time-
