Today’s Reflection
Have you ever noticed how many times in Luke’s Gospel Jesus sits around the table for a meal? He regularly shared meals with others, whether they are Pharisees, sinners and tax collectors, or his disciples. We learn more of what he teaches about his heavenly Parent on these occasions than from what he says in the synagogue. Meals at the table are some of Jesus’ favorite settings for him to make visible to others the good news of God’s mercy and acceptance of all people.

It’s a rare day we we eat together. My son is a proclaimed unbeliever. I am thankful that God in three persons is with me always, Thank You, Lord. Had a good time skiing yesterday, food shopping done,
May be back on the slopes on Monday. It’s the last day of the season and a solar eclipse. Sunny weather in the forecast. Preparing for Communion tomorrow, the second Sunday in Easter. Watched the Disney movie the Miracle on Ice, The USA beats the USSR at the Olympics. Saw it as it happened on tv 44 years ago. Thank You, Lord for the blessings of the day we all share.
