Join us for Easter Morning Prayer
Today, Easter Sunday, Kara Lassen Oliver will lead us in Morning Prayer as we celebrate the Resurrection together.
Today’s Reflection
Our journey into service is nurtured with small steps. We can practice putting the needs of others, especially those close to us, before our own. We can offer to do some menial job at home without been asked, like taking out the trash or doing the dishes. We can ask a colleague at work if he or she needs help. If we only look around, we will see endless possibilities for service that inspire our creativity and imagination—and, perhaps, ask us to step outside our comfort zones.

There are many ways I try to serve others. I’m thankful God has enabled me to do so. Happy Easter!
Happy Easter Morning to all. He is Risen!
My ways of being of assistance are very limited during this time, which I find discouraging. Today, I will walk with dad, helping to break up another long day for him. It seems that even our walks are quiet, with conversation limited – as there is nothing “new” to talk about. We will not be eating together, as we remain fully isolated from each others’ homes.
I will pray for others – something I should not underestimate, but long to do more.
O Father, be near.
Good morning to the UR family! “HE is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galileeq, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again” Luke 24:6-7. (KJV) Glory be to God! Let’s remember that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He is unchanging and steadfast. He always was, always is, and always will be. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus said, “And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” Revelation 22:12-13. (KJV) The perfect reason to celebrate! I really, really love this UR crew. May your day be blessed in God’s favor.
May we continue to pray for one another daily. “You can trust God with your PRAYERS ” James 1:6-8 reads, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea dtiven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A doubled minded man is unstable in all his ways.”(KVJ) This crew are a very prayer warriors. I know we have to read the Bible for ourselves, but this praying crew hearts are forever grateful.
Hapoy Easter to dear UR friends. Though quarantined, we are, as always, bound together in Spirit.
Yes, indeed! We are all in this together.
A blessed Easter today- I worshiped with my Sunday school class and then worshipped with my home church online. My youngest who lives with me participated which I was grateful – my oldest daughter said she was watching from the east coast – and my son wished me a happy Easter fist thing this morning- I am grateful for my three children. I will connect with my mother and brother today – I am grateful that my family is doing well during this time and I pray for all of you on this Easter Day.
Peace Hope and Love.
