Today’s Reflection
WHATEVER COMES NEXT, we stand on the promises of God. We are called to live today in ways that are consistent with the way things will be when God’s kingdom comes. We dare to believe that we play an active part in its coming. But it isn’t easy. Living into God’s promise in the future always involves dying to something in the past.

Being each other’s keepers – https://prayer.forwardmovement.org/forward_day_by_day.php?d=9&m=2&y=2020
Doing my part in His kingdom work – must be built on the two statements made by the author. “Standing on the promises of God.” and “Dying to things in/of the past.” We mustn’t cling to what has occurred (I know, I still have much work and surrender to do with this, concerning my mom), but profess and trust His promises, His unchanging steadfastness. Keeping my eyes on Him and trusting His authorship of the future.
Father, continue to hold those who are absent from this space, but a part of its fabric…April, Edy, BJ, Connie, Marcy, Andrea, Betsy, Rusty.
Yes, we are keepers of mankind, need to let go of hindrances from the past, stand on the promises of God, and keep moving forward all the while doing what we can to be better people. God’s grace makes up for what we can’t do.
Thank you Joe and Jill. I appreciate your posts. I pray we all ” continue to hold those who are absent from this space, but a part of its fabric” Prayers for Julie, Megan, Lou, and Mary. Safe travel for Jill on her way to FL soon.
Had to try a few different things to get on here this morning. Glad I made it. Thank You, Lord!
It is a blessing to have such faithful posters here. Thank you Jill, Julie, Robert for always being up and going before I arrive.
We are grandparenting for our childrens’ children . Each moment we are with them we are a witness to them of the home we came from and where their parents grew up. I see faith traditions in mealtime prayers, Bible books, attendance at church, etc. I see kindness, gentleness, acceptance. I thank God every day that our grandchildren are growing up in such homes. Not that everything is perfect…
I pray for our nation and the world. For leaders of governments, for health care workers, for pastors and church leaders. When I have prayed and lifted up concerns to God, I feel a part of the plans for our world and coming of Christ.
I pray the prayers that are lifted up daily by posters here. I too ask for your hand to be with all and lead them. I pray for health and safety and wellbeing. On this gloomy Sunday morning, may we see You, Lord, and know that with You, all is well with my soul. Blessings dear UR Family.
